baking list inspiration

by Stacy

What else should I make? (*edited*)

  • Cream puffs
  • Pizza dough (already in the fridge, so sort of a cheat)
  • Doughnuts
  • **Croissants
  • **Bagels

Give me ideas, recipes, requests, whatever. I need some motivation!

I can’t think of anything to bake … but I did want to mention that I’ve been following your cooking more closely than ever since I am now entirely without a kitchen. I’m living vicariously through your cooking!

By the way, you should check out/buy The New Best Recipe Cookbook and/or The Best International Recipe. The first item to try, the eggplant parmigiana. Next, the pasta with garlicky bread crumbs.

Katie, it’s fair then since I am living vicariously through your house! More garden photos, please! =D
Ooh, I have been considering the Cook’s Illustrated cookbooks, but I am trying not to acquire more books. Maybe next library trip, then on the Christmas list… Thank you for the suggestions though.

Willow, I realized that I don’t check out the other Homemakers Who Work sites as often as I mean to, so I am trying to remedy that. I’m not loving the cool weather, but it’s nice that my late-planted lettuce wasn’t short-lived! And I love kitties, too. hehe. When I smelled the bread baking in the oven, I realized that it smelled like my mom’s house in the best way.

Good Morning! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I checked down through your recent posts and have to say that 1) my spinach bolted weeks ago- alas, 2) I love kitties and 3) your bread recipe is almost exactly like mine which is called Honey Whole Wheat Bread, from the Whole Earth Cookbook [as old as my marriage] and we love that bread!
