packing, day 1

by Stacy

With my husband scheduled to start his new job in three weeks, we decided to tackle some packing yesterday. Packing, of course, is an involved process which involves multiple steps of sorting, filing, cleaning, and organizing before anything even goes in a box.

We decided to start with our enormous storage closet which we knew would be a challenge. We found boxes of stuff we have moved three times in the same box and never used. So it was one of those messes that gets much worse before it gets better. It was dusty and tiring. Some residents of our apartment had a lovely time, however.

Obviously, we are not transporting the cats in boxes. The current plan is for me to drive them 2000 miles in the car. They both have carriers (we recommend Sherpa) which we leave out for them to sit in so they aren’t only in the carrier when going to the vet.

Apparently the Sherpa is also a nice spot to sit and watch the pigeons on the balcony.

Your black cat has a much wider and flatter face than ours, but those two shots from above? Yeah, I can see why Anderson has kitty fail on my pics sometimes….

I think you mean Ninja is fatter than Jess. ;p

It’s just so hard to pick up any detail on photos of black kitties, so I think they might be easier to tell apart in person. I also hope, for your sake, that Jess is less dusty than she-who-is-soon-getting-a-bath.

Thank you, me too. A pair of pigeons has discovered the bird seed on the balcony which has provided the kitties some quality time to sit, unmoving, so long as the giant fat birds are there. It makes them much more willing to be photographed while they are distracted.

You posted these pictures so I would comment, didn’t you?? Well played my friend.

I like the dramatic picture of Ninja watching the pigeons. Do I detect a hint of despair in her eyes? She probably knows that you’re moving a lot closer to Ronnie. I would be upset about that too

All for you.

Not despair, hunger. Those are fat pigeons!
