my job is weird

by Stacy

Things I did for work today:

  • helped load 9 refrigerators onto a truck

  • picked up a brain-shaped jello mold
  • made jello (currently chilling)
  • bought 12 yards of red and white gingham
  • used said gingham to make a giant picnic blanket
  • bought white bread, raisins, and cheap beer
  • received 1500 name tags in the mail

It will all make sense soon, I promise.

The disappointing part is that I have a lot of stuff yet to do. Ahh, tech week.

My mom got one of those molds years ago, when I still lived there. We ate very little jello, so she started using it for the cranberry sauce at holidays. Now we all say “pass the brains” and periodically get to talk about how mom’s brains might not set up right. :)

I don’t call cranberry sauce brains at my house, but I think if she stopped using the brain mold I might still call it that at her house.

Haha, that’s awesome! I love random family things like that.

Since the company is small and lacks prop storage, we are borrowing one from my friend’s parents. The only thing I worry about is the Saturday we have two shows. Two brains! Ahhhh!

haha… nice… well.. you KNOW you have to make something in that mold the next time we host a party :)…. We’ve known of that mold’s existence from Alton Brown for years, but never actually seen it in person. :) Have fun.

I am not yet a champion un-molder. Need more practice.
